8bit per channel to 6bpc (RGB)
I need to convert some images to 6bpc, which is to say that I want to zero the last 2 bits of each each RGB channel for preview on a reduced color display.
How can I do this with imagemagick?

Would it be possible to somehow get IM to convert the pixel data anyway? If I were to feed a DICOM file for reading, then ignoring all the dicom tags, just get the pixel data out... Could that work? I of course would need to take care of generating the DICOM headers for he output file ...
