Re: possible bug -direction IM 6.7.0.2 Q16
I found Pango library interesting but as all open source project difficult to implement (at least for me). Interesting, I found another viewer (very popular and free) doing what i was expecting, that is RTL text overlays, at some costs in regard quality of anti-aliasing and easy of use (no arguments ...

Re: possible bug -direction IM 6.7.0.2 Q16
IM 6.7.0-5 makes better rendering but -direction right-to-left is always broke. Checking -version on convert.exe result in Why "Features:" in empty? Normally it has an "OpenMP" value.
Any suggestion?
Cheers.

Re: possible bug -direction IM 6.7.0.2 Q16
Hi, the output of convert.exe with -direction right-to-left shows double strokes (or advance skipping):

as well a weird rendering.
It would be nice to get to the end, i could use IM for a new project.
Cheers

Re: Arabic fonts rendering
As last report, I found (omiss..) rendering LTR and RTL text smooth as desired. Was a surprise of course, maybe quality can be better and usage through .ini file is not friendly, but it works.
Again, thanks all for efforts in following my question

Re: Arabic fonts rendering
Hi, tested v6.7.0-4 but results are not good, besides direction is correct. I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Version 9.0.30729.1, it compiles with no errors or warnings but i have a broken convert.exe output, both in terms of render and characters, as (in arabic) it superimposes some. Any ...

Re: Arabic fonts rendering
Update (for Arabic RTL): Using arabic writer.exe http://sourceforge.net/projects/arabicwriter/ the glyphs are properly aligned AFTER convert.exe This should confirm the IM -direction right-to-left bug, as inverting with external application goes through well. UTF-8 source label: true ...

Arabic fonts rendering
I posted a question on User group, http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18863 , regarding Arabic Font Rendering. Apparently there is no ready solution, or the assumption made were wrong, particularly in the UTF-8 label file compilation. When using convert, trying to render ...

Re: Arabic fonts rendering
fmw42: i will do. So, apparently the RTL option really starts from last character but stops on cr/lf. I have very little knowledge of RTL languages made by o.s. manufacturers, one weird thing i noticed is that cr/lf (or cr alone) is always on right hand side of text (comparing different word ...

montage list of images
Hi, i have a large amount of files per folder to stripe on 8x6 pattern, unfortunately they are not all of same image type. When used the *.<ext> as input image, montage of course scans the folder for each type in turn. I.e., "*.jpg *.tif" will have the montage of all jpg first and then all tif. I ...
