I had a similar problem using DrawableText and made a patch for pythonmagick to get it back to work.

I have made a patch with some fixes for Problems with class inheritance for the Drawable* Classes in pythonmagick. My problem now is, who I need to send them to for reviewing? for those burning to be able to use the Drawable classes inside pythonmagick and like to try it out themself, here the ...
