We use convert.exe to convert uploaded files on our website and it works great. Very fast. However, we sometimes have problems with PDF files. Can't figure out what the pattern is. Some files convert no problem. Some just crash the utility... or rather, send it into Endless Loop Land. If my client ever experiences server slowdowns, I can log in to the server and see multiple copies of convert.exe running in the Task Manager.

Has anyone experienced problems with convert.exe and PDF files?

I am no expert on this. But some things to check.

1. Do you have multiple versions of IM on your system? Remove any multiple or remove them all an re-install IM.

2) Upgrade to the latest Ghostscript Delegage library

3) Then Upgrade to the latest IM

4) If things still persist, post a link to one of your bad files that crash your system so the IM folks can verify if it is corrupt.
