Macintosh 6.6.0 Distro Questions

I distribute an embedded set of ImageMagick commands in a software product I develop. While preparing to move up from version 6.3.7 to 6.6.0 (I know, long overdue!), I noticed two things I'd like clarification on:
1. The internal path within the 6.6.0 Macintosh distro shows as "ImageMagick-6.5.9" (rather than "ImageMagick-6.6.0" as it is inside the Windows distro). Does this mean the Macintosh distro is NOT version 6.6.0 (or was this just an oversight by whomever built the distro)? If this means this is really a 6.5.9 distro, is a 6.6.0 distro available for Macintosh?
2. The 6.6.0 Macintosh distro (or should I say the 6.5.9 distro mentioned above) no longer includes "libjpeg", "libpng" nor "libtiff" as the 6.3.7 distro did. Does this mean those 3 libraries no longer need to be included (assuming their functionality is built into "libMagickCore" or "libMagickWand")?
Thanks in advance for helping me understand the changes between these two releases.
