-limit time option

In the documentation there is a -limit time option mentioned but not really explained with an example.
In my application I try to use it (IM v 6.5.3-1 Q16), but I get an error message.
The commandline I use is: convert -limit time 20 -limit area 192mb -limit memory 128mb -limit map 256mb -limit disk 500mb "test.png"
Without the '-limit time 20' part it is working okay.
Is it possible to use the -limit time option or is that not yet completely built into IM?
