Missing libraries when installing newer version of IM

I am installing a newer version of ImageMagic on Linux but it is not working because it has missing or incorrect libraries. We are not able to compile this new version to make it run, perhaps because of the previously installed libraries. It is unclear how to correct this problem.

I am not knowledgeable enough about Linux to help. But perhaps you could identify your system and the version of IM you are installing, etc. Are you installing from binary or RPM or source?

For installing from Binary, see
http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php

From source, see
