Excellent work. Can we use your image and command line as an example on the ImageMagick web site?

Well done
R!tman
Cristy... FYI for your website example, if permission is given...
The gradient is a example of an interpolated gradient
http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graph ... nterpolate
However it only really works for generating gradients from equally spaced color points. The SVG graident specification (especially in 2D gradients) is still badly needed.
The gradient recoloring in... Recoloring Images using Gradients
http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graph ... r/#recolor
But it is perfect example of using IM Examples to figure out what you want to do.
It is goo to know that IM Examples is being used by IM users to provide the results that they want to achieve.
The code can be improved a little by removing the
-rotate 90 and changing the
-fx and
-append to work directly on a vertical gradient, OR change the second stage to use a horizontal gradient.
However please let us know if you come up with any other technique you find useful, feedback like this is always helpful.
