hi magickians,

i’ve asked this one in user forums, too. but they sent me to you.
i wondered why imagemagick can convert rgb and cmyk files to TXT format but not L*a*b. is it possible to implement this feature? i just need the color values .

Not sure, but it might have to do with fact that there at least five colorspaces that self-identify as "Lab". A perl script converting TXT to your preferred LAB would be fast and effective.
