Hello,
I have got dozens of old fashioned albums from 1910 on that I have scanned on a A3 scanner.
Now I need a tool to get automatically single photos out of the scans cause on an average album page from 1920 there had been up to 8 or 9 pictures and I need these 9 pics ... for example
1920-1930_P2.jpg is the page 2 of the album 1920-1930 that contains for example 4 single photos separated from each other by a black / dark or white / nowadays more beige paper background
I want to get these 8 files from that single source page
1920-1930_P2.jpg with
1920-1930_P2_1.jpg
1920-1930_P2_2.jpg
1920-1930_P2_3.jpg
1920-1930_P2_4.jpg
I hope that someone has an idea to get that done or even better a batch for 90 album pages with a total of 554 fotos
Thanks a lot for your support.

Please, always provide your IM version and platform when asking questions, since syntax may differ. Also provide your exact command line and if possible your images.

Re: Separate single photos out of Photo Album page scan
latest version from today - windows 10
What else should I add if anybody might know how an old fashioned album from 1910 to 1980 looks like: picture by picture separated - sometime a line below the photo about date, persons/object - nothing special
I am looking for a solution that works, otherwise I have to buy a photoshop whatever licence cause photoshop has such function built in as automation.

You can run my script from Windows 10 Unix.
You might post an example of one of your images. You can post to any free image hosting service and put the URL here. That will help people understand your question and perhaps be able to offer tested solutions.

Things like that can make a difference; if you want a useful answer supply an image. People often say "it is a simple image" and when an answer is supplied they suddenly come back with other problems. If an image was supplied in the first place it would have saved a lot of time.sometime a line below the photo about date, persons/object - nothing special
