panning in 'display' doen't work

Post by Joe »

Hi,
panning doesn't seem to work with 'display' properly.
When opening large images (larger than my resolution) the pan-icon-window appears as if (almost) the whole image can fit on my screen.
Therefore panning is not possible. I made a screenshot:

As a workaround I used "display -geometry 1000x ", as my resolution is 1280x1024. This does enable panning, but has some unwanted side effects like:
when pressing the <Space>-key on the last image, display crashes with error-message:
display: unrecognized option `-sans' @ display.c/DisplayImageCommand/1639.

Versions:
ImageMagick 6.5.1-0 2009-08-27 Q16 OpenMP
OS: Ubuntu 9.10
Windowmanager: IceWM 1.3.4pre2
