imdisplay fails

Post by gmcintire »

On Windows 7, 32 bit, I cannot get the logo test to work. the "convert logo: logo.miff" works fine, but "imdisplay logo.miff" just does nothing. "imdisplay" alone does bring up the window just fine and it all seems to work, but any filename as an argument just looks busy for a second or so and the returns, never bringing up the window.
I think the above is why convert and montage fail complaining "Magick: delegate failed `imdisplay.exe "%i."' @ error/delegate.c/InvokeDelegate/1061."

I'd really like this to work.

Does anybody have the latest version working on Windows 7?

Does anyone have a clue???

The behavior you describe started when we switched from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010 when building ImageMagick. We do not believe its a bug in the imdisplay program but instead a problem with Visual Studio 2010. We're waiting for a service pack release with hopes that the compiler patches fixes the problem.

Thanks for your reply.

Do you have an older working version that I could install on Windows 7?
